ELF Lessons

(Serve60Sharp’s Version)

Holiday weekend incoming!!

First – a huge THANK YOU to our readers. Without you, we’d just be serving into the void (foreshadowing)…

Second, we’ll include a tacit THANK YOU from all the people you’ve served with the tips we’ve shared these last few months. Keep sending your ideas!

For today’s Serve60Sharp idea, imagine us sending you a loud, pitch-y MERRY CHRISTMAS and an obnoxiously tight bear hug.

The holidays are full of cheer – unless you’re a parent with a shopping list or work in retail… Let’s turn that frown upside down!

If you’ve seen Will Ferrell’s Christmas movie, ELF, it’s a ridiculous, silly, heartwarming, and poignant celebration of Santa Claus. As Buddy the Elf, Ferrell belts out his mantra: “The Best Way To Spread Christmas Cheer Is Singing Loud For All To Hear”.

Take the same principle and shorten it WAY down. Singing not required.

Next time you’re at the checkout or crossing paths with someone in the parking lot in/out of a store, look the checker or parking lot stranger in the eyes and say “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays” or “I hope you have a great holiday”.

Then watch what happens.

We guarantee a smile – at least for you. Bonus points if they smile, double bonus points if they respond with a greeting!

Happy holiday serving,
