When you’re buying a snack or pop (we’re in the Midwest and yes, it’s pop) from a vending machine, pay cash, and leave the extra change in the trap. It’s a nice little surprise for the next guest!
It’s not much, but a great example of how this can go a long way is at a petting zoo. Having a kiddo find an extra quarter or two means they get two more handfuls of fish or goat food. That’s a good 20 minutes of smiles for the kids. Twenty minutes of smiling kids means 20 minutes less haggling for parents! Now THAT is worth a few coins.
