Last week’s “D” had so much content I wanted to share that started with Disaster and combining them didn’t seem natural, so you get D&D… A little something for my fellow Gen Xers who came of age during the 90s – I hear D&D is having quite the revival?
Household Disaster Plan
A template that helps families get ready for emergencies and disasters. It guides you to map out escape routes, pick safe meeting places, plan communication and reunification if separated, prep an emergency kit (water, food, supplies) and account for things like pets, utility shut offs and accessibility needs.
Local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Info
A program designed to educate community members about disaster preparedness for hazards that may affect our area, while also providing training in basic disaster response skills including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.
