For those outside Kansas – visit a local museum – the more local, the better. Is there a museum about your county or city? They’re a great place to hear incredible stories about your community’s founding and history over the decades.

Attend a local city, school, or county board meeting! Be sure to introduce yourself to the person which represents you and let them know you’re there because some lady in Kansas told you you’d learn something – NOT because you’re going to run against them – which is what most elected officials think when people start showing up at meetings without a specific reason!
